Rated 5 out of 5 by Robert S from A great machine for Photo editingMy last new machine was 5 years ago, and again an ASUS ROG machine. It was a marvelous machine, and is actually still plugging away today. This new machine, however, has blown me away. Seems to be lighter than what I thought it would be. Thats not a bad thing. I LOVE the SSD. This machine launches to the desktop and ready to run in about 10 sec. Lightroom launches in 6 seconds. CorelDRAW in about the same amount of time. Photoshop launched in 14 seconds. It took me a little bit to learn how to change the default locations of my download directory, documents, pictures, etc to get them to the D drive and thus not take up so much room on the SSD drive. The screen is very bright and vivid. The fan is very quiet (Ive not heard it at all since I got the machine). The keyboard is great. The only problem that I had was locating the SD card slot. Its not where it was on my last ASUS, Kind of hidden on the right side of the machine and under a lip. My only complaint is against myself, and that is that I waited so long to take the jump. SSD drives are a huge thing.
